David Owen passed away March 9, 2024 at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, IA.
Born in Waterloo, IA, he was the son of Larry L. Owen and Carol McWhorter Owen. He was a 1971 graduate of West High School. In 1974 he married Terry Miller (Lies). He is survived by his wife Terry, their four daughters, Michelle (Brian) Miller of Cedar Rapids, Vanessa Ramirez of Iowa City, Jennette (Aron) Rodemeyer of Swisher and Amanda Owen Kresten of Wales, UK, his two sisters Susan Heideman and Judy (Chet) Schuler, both of Waterloo, six grandchildren and a son, Michael Donovan of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Owen.
No funeral is planned, though a celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the World Wide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses at jw.org.
