Robert "Bob" Stevenson, 70, of Brooklyn died on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
He was born on June 14, 1953 in Waterloo son of Raymond and Gladys (Ellingson) Stevenson.
He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1971. He earned a bachelor's degree from University of Northern Iowa.
Bob married Cheryel Buhr on September 16, 1978 in Waterloo; they later divorced. They had four children together.
He married Cindy (Yearling) Bradfield on August, 16, 1996.
He worked for the cities of Waterloo and Hudson in a variety of prominent administrative roles and also as a realtor.
Bob served on the Board of Directors of Public Employees Credit Union for 24 years, and was actively involved with the Jaycees.
He was a true and loyal fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes never missing a football or basketball game.
Bob is survived by his wife, Cindy Stevenson of Brooklyn; his sister, Karen (Jerry) Stewart of Huxley, four daughters, Kate (Nate) Winston of Waterloo, Megan Brown of Waterloo, Haley Stevenson of Conshohocken, PA, and Kelly Stevenson of Des Moines; two step-daughters, Christine (Jon) Law of Manor, TX, Liz (Dan) Bradfield-O'Reilly of Austin, TX; and two step-grandchildren, Dean Law and Clara Rose O'Reilly.
